Who hasn't listened to this funny song and assumed that they were talking about a secret asian man? I know it's what I tend to sing every time. Secret Agent Man is a song that was originally written by Steve Barri and P. F. Sloan, according to all known sources. Apparently the song was used in the British spy series called Danger Man, but was renamed as "Secret Agent" in America and was broadcast in the mid 1960s, however that version was sung by a man called Johnny Rivers. It was also used on the Austin Powers soundtrack, quite memorably, as a brilliant spoof film of all those 60s and 70s spy thrillers.
Even so, who doesn't mishear the lyrics as the wonderfully funny Secret Asian Man - is it a parody itself? It's one of those commonly misheard lyrics in tandem with the Jimi Hendrix song "Scuse me while I kiss this guy" type mistake. Still, song lyric mistakes never did sound so good as in this brilliant spoof and parody YouTube clip starring Allen Evangelista.
